"G'DAY KINGSTON" SQUARKED THREE tall Aussie
Girls who stepped into the limelight at Reflex. Dressed head
to toe in glittering pink sequins, and with more than enough
charisma to fill a stadium. It was clear we were in for a
night full of all things 'Sheila'. The Crowd waited in eager
anticipation. Reflex resident Drag Queens Shirley and Josey,
otherwise known as Double Trouble, had even re-styled their
look and modeled themselves on those girls form Oz. But are
the Sheila's the
genuine article ? |
 |
Actually
No ! Only one, Cathi, is from Australia. Of the other two,
Emma is from England and Carly is from north Wales. Does
this matter ? Not a jot ! Knocking out song after song, from
'My Guy' to 'We are Family' and then premiering their new
Stock, Aitken s and Waterman song ''(I'm so) Happy Happy (you're
mine)'' they showed us they could not only sing, but sing
well. Next to tired old lip-syncing acts or distorted club
PAs, The Sheila's stand tall. Closing with ''It's Raining
Men'', The Sheila's announced that in the New Year 'wheel'
be seeing more of them, as the new ITV weather girls. Now
every cloud really Will have a silver lining. |
