CELEBRATING a whole fourteen years since its opening, Kingston's Reflex threw a mega birthday bash last Saturday. It may be a long way from the gay villages of Vauxhall and Soho to London Road in Kingston, but those Reflex boys and girls certainly know how to throw a birthday party! With a huge eruption taking place on the 'Saturday Night Fever' style dance floor, we couldn't help but get dragged into the anniversary mayhem. Tunes came in the form of pop classics, old and new, from Girls Aloud and the Pussycat Dolls, to Bucks Fizz and Wham. And talk about cheap drink prices - we felt like we'd won the lottery! And as we sipped on cocktails, the climax of the night approached as Nicki French took to the stage in all her hi-NRG glory to perform club smashes including 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' and 'Is There Anybody Out There?' The ideal venue foe south west Londoners who don't fancy a trip into the center of town, as we started our journey back to the West End, the Reflex carried on thumping 'til late! Here's to many more happy returns!
