The team over at Reflex in Kingston held their annual special LGBT Community Party at their joint on Kingston’s London Road last Thursday night. The guys laid on a very tasty buffet, while DJ Annabelle spun all the high-camp disco, but the event had a more serious side too. The night had been organised specifically to acknowledge the positive work being done by the local police in ensuring all members of the LGBT community in the Kingston area are aware of the help and advice they can receive regarding crime and sexual health.

DC Tony Forsyth, LGBT Liaison Officer at Kingston Police Station, said ’This party is all about us working together as a community – to make Kingston a safe borough to live and work in, where no community groups feel unrepresented‘. He went on, ’Working as a community is the only way we will combat offenders of hate crime‘. If you live in the local area and want more information on these issues, you can call DC Forsyth on

The Reflex is open as normal over the festive period – with more commercial chart and cute boys on the dancefloor on Christmas Eve (24 Dec) and Boxing Day (26 Dec) from 9pm onwards.
